About the position

The Demi Chef de Partie at Songbird is responsible for preparing and cooking food in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. This role emphasizes the importance of food presentation and quality, ensuring that all dishes meet the high standards of The Ritz-Carlton brand. Responsibilities

  • Prepare cold foods and ingredients for cooking, including weighing, measuring, mixing, portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist, establishing priority items.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Serve food in proper portions onto dishes, plates, mugs, and bowls, ensuring proper plate appearance.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Cookery.
  • I'm Alert Food Safety Certification (from City of Perth).
  • Unrestricted working rights for Australia.
