About the position

The Department Manager at McDonald's is responsible for leading shifts and managing specific departments within the restaurant. This role ensures that customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience while overseeing various operational aspects such as training, food safety, and inventory management. Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience.
• Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals and delegate tasks to team members.
• Follow up on tasks and report results to the team and other managers.
• Ensure crew and managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Oversee sales promotions and ensure service staff are trained in service procedures.
• Organize the Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Ensure the restaurant delivers quality food quickly and safely.
• Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
• Hire qualified crew and schedule them to meet sales and profit goals.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• A passion for hospitality and teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish.
