About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer position at IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is focused on supporting a DOD SOCOM opportunity by integrating DevSecOps practices into new developments and cloud efforts. The role involves the rapid development, sustainment, and security of complex software and hardware systems, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations, and managing automated CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will work collaboratively across the enterprise to enhance system development and security while continuously monitoring production environments for vulnerabilities and performance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the integration of DevSecOps practices into all new developments and SIE Cloud efforts.
  • Supports the rapid development, sustainment, upgrade, security, test, validation and fielding of complex software and hardware systems.
  • Implements the processes and tools to support an automated, CI/CD pipeline based DevSecOps system that is capable of supporting VMs, containers, compiled software applications.
  • Sustains the CI/CD pipeline for applications in maintenance.
  • Works across the enterprise to ensure that the DevSecOps tools and processes are supporting the holistic system development, integration and fielding effort.
  • Develop and implement automated security testing within the pipeline, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations like RMF, NIST, and CMMC.
  • Continuously monitor production environments for potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks, and respond to incidents in real-time.
  • Manage and improve IaC setups to ensure secure and scalable infrastructure, automating the deployment and management of cloud resources.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 3 - 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 6 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in DevSecOps automation tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automated security testing, and container orchestration platforms.
  • Deep understanding of DoD-specific cybersecurity requirements, such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and NIST standards.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure GovCloud) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the deployment and management of secure, scalable cloud environments.
  • Experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack, SIEM tools, Nagios, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, SonarQube, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, AWS Lambda, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
