As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III at Penske, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles. Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for logging, researching, and completing repairs.
• Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics and preventative maintenance repairs, including tire replacement and lubrication.
• Collaborate with your manager to learn new skills through training and hands-on coaching.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Must comply with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.

Nice-to-haves

• Welding certificate is required.
• Experience with various types of equipment and vehicle repair training.
