About the position

The Director of Clinical Applications oversees the operational management of Temple Health's Clinical Applications portfolio, ensuring the smooth functioning of assigned clinical systems across the health system. This role is responsible for managing the support, maintenance, and optimization of clinical applications, coordinating efforts between the IT department and clinical operations. The Director leads daily production support, ongoing system enhancements, and key project initiatives, while also developing and implementing standards and best practices across the application portfolio. As a member of the Temple Health IT Leadership team, the Director identifies growth opportunities by aligning current applications with emerging technologies and future innovations in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational management of the Clinical Applications portfolio.
• Manage support, maintenance, and optimization of clinical applications.
• Coordinate efforts between the IT department and clinical operations.
• Lead daily production support and ongoing system enhancements.
• Implement key project initiatives related to clinical applications.
• Develop and implement standards and best practices across the application portfolio.
• Identify growth opportunities by aligning applications with emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Required).
• 3 years of experience in a management role in the healthcare field or closely related industry (Required).
• 5 years of experience and demonstrated working knowledge of healthcare operations and regulations in both inpatient and ambulatory environments (Required).
• 5 years of experience with clinical ancillary or other related systems (Required).
• General experience with large, complex healthcare application implementations (Required).
