About the position

The Director of Sales at Courtyard Aurora is responsible for leading the hotel's sales efforts, focusing on securing new accounts, maintaining existing relationships, and executing effective sales and marketing strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves developing key client relationships, attending networking events, conducting site tours, and managing the departmental budget to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to produce group business, including room sales, F&B sales, and catering/banquet services.
  • Attend networking events and maintain relationships with local community groups, companies, and trade organizations to generate sales.
  • Conduct site tours for potential clients.
  • Maintain a customer database for tracking sales activities.
  • Develop contracts and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage the departmental budget and monitor sales activity to ensure alignment with profit plans.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt sales processes and systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and display initiative and perseverance.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a team player mentality.
  • Professional demeanor and integrity in all interactions.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
