About the position

As an experienced product director at Figma, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Figma remains at the forefront of product design and development. You will lead the DevMode product and innovate Figma's next investments in the Developer Tools space, aiming to create a seamless transition from design to production. The goal is to empower frontend engineers to work more efficiently, reducing time spent on mundane tasks while enhancing the quality of products delivered to end users. This is a full-time position that can be based in our New York hub or remotely within the Eastern Timezone.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and define a long-term vision for the Developer tools team.
• Work closely with and support the growth of a diverse team of engineers and designers passionate about building tools for developers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams across Figma to define strategic initiatives focused on developer efficiency and code generation.
• Foster career growth within an engaged, creative, and thoughtful community.

Requirements

• Shipped a number of successful, high-impact consumer-facing products.
• Experience working on highly technical products or products catering to technical audiences.
• Experience directly managing and growing product managers (PMs).

• A development background or experience working on developer tooling.
• An eye for detail in user experience and technical nuances.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, scrappy environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly at different altitudes, including driving alignment with senior stakeholders.
