About the position

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and other small pets. Your role will involve ensuring the well-being and comfort of the animals in your care while delivering exceptional customer service to their owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and trimming the fur of pets
• Provide nail trims and ear cleaning
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin and recommend appropriate grooming treatments
• Handle animals with care and ensure their safety throughout the grooming process
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the grooming area
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from pet owners
• Keep detailed records of each pet's grooming history

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in a related role is preferred
• Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques and behavior
• Proficiency in various grooming techniques for different breeds and species
• Ability to safely restrain animals during grooming procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
• Knowledge of basic pet care and hygiene practices
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals
• Certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus
