About the position

The Foreman position at ADB Wireless involves leading the installation of fiber optic cable for telecommunication projects. This role is crucial for ensuring safety and successful project completion in utility construction. The Foreman will oversee crew operations, provide training, and maintain high safety standards while engaging with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform proficient-level manual labor and operations, including hand digging, setting up traffic control, and operating entry-level equipment.
• Showcase proficiency in utility print and map reading for accurate project execution.
• Demonstrate independent operating experience with various equipment such as directional drills and mini plows.
• Lead and support the setup and shutdown of utility construction projects in diverse conditions.
• Exemplify a safety-first approach, ensuring compliance with all safety practices.
• Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and homeowners, addressing complaints or issues.
• Train and mentor construction crew members on fiber installation practices and OSHA requirements.
• Load and unload materials and equipment from vehicles at construction sites.
• Lead by example in adhering to safety rules and regulations.
• Engage in on-the-job training with Senior Foreman and/or Supervisors.
• Foster a culture of hazard identification using the pre-task process.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of utility construction experience, preferably as a crew leader or foreman.
• At least 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience, including Hydro, Drill, Mini, and Plow.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CDL License or the ability to obtain one.
