About the position

The eGRC Product Owner I is responsible to ensure that a development team (pod) is creating value for the organization through the delivery of customer-focused product increments. This entails aligning with other Product Owners and stakeholders to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, continuously assessing customer feedback. The Product Owner I should always be considering how to maximize value, assessing how the product or the delivery process can be continuously improved, contributes to a positive work environment and ensures that work embodies the Agile principles of transparency, collaboration and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the development team creates value through customer-focused product increments.
  • Align with other Product Owners and stakeholders to follow a product vision.
  • Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog.
  • Manage delivery blockers and continuously assess customer feedback.
  • Maximize value and assess continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment embodying Agile principles.
  • Lead and integrate cross-function understanding within their field of specialty.
  • Communicate difficult concepts and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Participate in scrum or Kanban events and express ideas for improving product value.
  • Manage delivery initiatives and oversee multiple development team backlogs.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and/or product certificate.
  • 7+ years relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification considered an asset.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience considered an asset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in eGRC / Non-Financial Risk Product Management at a large FI or G-SIB.
  • Extensive experience producing reporting for Non-Financial Risk programs such as Issue Management, Incident/Event Management, RCSA, Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience, Compliance Risk Assessment, and others.
