About the position

The Email & SMS Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing all member engagement, prospect, and former member campaigns via email and SMS. This position provides support to the Manager, CRM Marketing and Analytics and requires a strong understanding of email best practices, excellent organizational skills, and experience deploying emails and SMS through enterprise email service providers (ESPs) like Braze or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the lifecycle of email and SMS campaigns with the current platform, Braze (ESP + SMS), for all member communications including newsletters, events, new fitness programs, and sports programs.
  • Act as the campaign owner for member engagement, former members, and prospect emails and SMS campaigns.
  • Create and execute member engagement Email & SMS campaigns, analyze key metrics, and generate reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure all campaigns adhere to TCPA compliance and CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Leverage ESP functionalities to develop, optimize, and analyze campaigns for maximum effectiveness.
  • Assist in designing and implementing strategic drip campaigns to enhance customer engagement and optimize user experience.
  • Review and provide feedback on layout and design on email and SMS content to ensure it is visually appealing and aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Track key metrics, generate detailed performance reports, and provide insights to enhance future campaigns.
  • Maintain healthy email segments, collaborate with IT to ensure necessary data is available in Braze, and monitor deliverability with email providers.
  • Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Fitness, IT, Operations, FP&A, and agency partners to align strategies and improve campaign execution.
  • Stay updated on the email marketing ecosystem and Braze platform features, employing best practices and making strategy recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in email and SMS marketing, including campaign execution and analysis.
  • Understanding of TCPA compliance and CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Ability to use email service provider tools for coding, deploying, and analyzing campaigns.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic drip campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and other reporting platforms.
  • Keen eye for layout, design, and visual aesthetics in email and SMS content.
  • Knowledge of best practices of email and SMS marketing management.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with interruptions, changing priorities, and a busy work environment with tight deadlines.
  • Displays good judgment, confidentiality, and diplomacy in handling important company information.
  • Demonstrated work experience showing attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented person who can follow procedures and maintain a structured work environment.
  • Reliability and desire to learn new things are a must for this position.
  • Solid skills with computers, processes, email, and desktop applications are a must.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, cooperation, and ability to work well with others.
  • Passion for fitness/health/wellness.
