About the position
The position involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools, equipment, and supplies are in good condition. The role supports service yard operations by assisting Service Technicians in maintaining and repairing mud cooler equipment. The employee will use various tools and equipment, including forklifts, power tools, pressure washers, and hand tools. Adherence to company policies, quality, safety, and environmental standards is essential. The position also requires learning basic principles of pumping equipment, refrigeration equipment, and basic electrical systems to support shop operations. Additionally, the employee will support the vehicle maintenance program by driving service trucks for servicing and picking up emergency parts orders or other supplies as needed. Other related duties may be assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
Responsibilities
- Keep a clean and tidy work area by ensuring tools, equipment, and supplies are organized and in good condition.
- Support service yard operations by helping Service Techs maintain and repair mud cooler equipment.
- Use tools and equipment including forklifts, various power tools, pressure washers, and hand tools.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Learn basic principles of pumping equipment, refrigeration equipment, and basic electrical to support shop operations.
- Support vehicle maintenance program by driving service trucks to be serviced.
- Pick up emergency parts orders or other supplies as needed by the shop.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Requirements
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- 1 year of experience in an industrial or shop environment
- Valid driver license; insurable according to company policy
- Dependable, honest and trustworthy
