About the position

The Estimator role at CBRE involves estimating project costs based on various sources of information and creating detailed documentation for the sales team. This includes preparing written proposals, statements of work, pricing summaries, and conducting pricing analysis. The position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to gather necessary pricing information.

Responsibilities

• Gather project information from various resources including Scope of Work documents, project plans, and site visits.
• Utilize project performance data from previous projects to inform estimates.
• Assist in selecting devices and components for projects and determining labor hours.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and installation quotes.
• Prepare project bid documents and alternative bid documents.
• Maintain company profit margins in all estimates and proposals.
• Evaluate design alternatives for cost, profitability, and system performance.
• Participate in project kickoff meetings and collaborate with other departments to ensure project success.
• Prepare all cost estimates using CBRE's estimating tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Design/Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and control systems.
• Ability to read and understand HVACR mechanical, plumbing, and electrical drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
