About the position

The Event Marketing Leader for the Undiscovered and Small Business Accelerator (USBA) at Amazon will be responsible for bringing the Black Business Accelerator (BBA) brand to life at selling partner events. This role involves leading a team to develop comprehensive event marketing strategies, focusing on enhancing the selling partner experience and ensuring high standards for brand building and marketing execution. The candidate will have end-to-end ownership of event programming, including social media integration, and will work closely with senior leaders to define event goals and measure success through KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with a team of event marketing managers and program managers to set strategy and long-term thinking.
  • Define event goals and timelines related to key deliverables and communicate expectations to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to understand key messaging and roadmaps for successful event activations.
  • Own the measurement of event programming and content, and associated KPIs.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for customer needs and ensure awareness of customer pain points.
  • Track and manage event budgets.
  • Be the voice of the team across multiple layers of the organization.
  • Partner with Integrated Marketing Communications Leader for multi-year planning activities.
  • Develop and distribute key post-event reporting and establish core event marketing mechanisms.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience managing teams
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Experience owning event program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
  • Experience developing cross-functional relationships, including internal communications, public relations, and Pan-Amazon teams
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
