About the position

The Event Security Command Dispatch position at Dickies Arena involves managing the Event Command Center during events, overseeing communication and incident management, and ensuring the safety and security of attendees and staff. This part-time role requires effective coordination and dispatching of information to various departments, utilizing technology to monitor events and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Event Command Center on event days.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing information to and from the Command center.
• Utilize radio transmission and electronic media to manage calls and event activity.
• Dispatch requests to each department based on incoming radio transmissions.
• Manage all incidents through incident management software 24-7.
• Maintain Event Command Timeline by dispatching responsibilities and notices to staff and departments.
• Monitor and control security cameras to assist with traffic and crowd flow.
• Maintain communication with Fort Worth Police and Fire Department Command Center Staff.
• Attend Event Staff briefings before each event.
• Review event information at the start of each shift.
• Submit in-event and post-event reports as necessary.
• Monitor Weather Station during severe weather situations.
• Remain calm during emergency situations and dispatch information to necessary personnel.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous dispatch experience strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience at a sports or entertainment venue preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm under stress.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
• Must be able to lift, pull, push, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods.
