About the position

The Faculty Qualifications & Hiring Consultant role at Pima Community College focuses on Academic Talent Acquisition and enhancing candidate and employee communications within the Faculty Affairs & Development division. This position is responsible for recruiting, qualifying, and hiring both full-time and part-time faculty, ensuring alignment with the diverse needs of academic units. The consultant collaborates with academic leadership and hiring managers to implement effective staffing processes and strategies, providing expertise in recruiting and communications to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with FQH team to review data and trends and recommend talent approaches for staffing strategies.
  • Support academic units on discipline-specific staffing plans.
  • Use Cornerstone OnDemand to recruit for full-time faculty positions and adjunct faculty hiring pools.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on recruiting and hiring laws, policies, practices, and metrics.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs and assess position goals.
  • Utilize various sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pipeline of candidates.
  • Support academic divisions with the implementation of alternative qualifications policy.
  • Establish credibility with hiring managers to guide the College's hiring process.
  • Ensure recruitment activity is updated accurately in the applicant tracking system.
  • Assist with presentations and maintain content for communication of hiring information.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Partner with the Classification & Compensation Department to set salary parameters.
  • Conduct all job offers for faculty positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a closely related field.
  • One to three years of related experience in human resources with proficiency in talent acquisition and recruitment consulting.
  • An equivalent combination of certification, education, and experience sufficient to perform essential duties.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three to five years of related experience in human resources with demonstrated proficiency in talent acquisition and recruitment consulting.
  • HR Certification.
