About the position

As a Field Operations Manager at DrBalcony, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site inspection operations, managing a team of inspectors, and ensuring that all inspections are conducted to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of field operations, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise inspectors, ensuring adherence to company procedures and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate inspection schedules and assign inspectors to job sites, ensuring timely completion of inspections.
  • Monitor inspection quality to meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to inspectors for effective performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between inspectors, project managers, and clients for clear communication.
  • Address issues during inspections, providing solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection activities, including reports on outcomes and inspector performance.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new inspectors to ensure integration into the team.
  • Manage the hiring process for new inspectors, including recruitment and selection.
  • Act as the main point of contact for on-field inspectors, addressing concerns and providing support.
  • Assist in improving systems and processes for inspectors to enhance efficiency.
  • Help grow and improve the inspection team by identifying development areas and implementing strategies.
  • Assist with the approval of expert statements and payments for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with the scheduler and engineering team to ensure cohesive operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with SB 326 and SB 721 regulations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in using scheduling and project management software.
