About the position

EquipmentShare is seeking a Field Technician to provide maintenance and repair services for a variety of Pump, Power & HVAC equipment at their rental facility in Seekonk, MA. This role involves working with the latest equipment in the industry and requires both technical skills and customer service abilities. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring safe job practices while utilizing technology to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance and repair for customer and company owned Pump, Power & HVAC equipment.
  • Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, and order parts.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using real-time data from various makes and models.
  • Travel to customer job sites for preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both in the shop and at customer locations.
  • Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred).
