We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled FP&A Analyst to join our finance team, reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance. As DECKED enters a pivotal phase, this is a critical role for an individual who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and is passionate about using financial data to drive high-impact strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong analytical mindset, ability to work cross functionally with Operations, Product Development and GTM to drive company-wide initiatives, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a solid understanding of financial modeling and analysis. The FP&A Analyst will play a key role in supporting the company's growth by providing timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to senior management and other business leaders. This position will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting, as well as developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives on an ad hoc basis. The position will also lead the implementation of AI tools for finance and work closely with the technology team to support this and other tech-based initiatives. The FP&A Analyst will be joining an awesome and highly motivated team of financial professionals who pride themselves as being thought partners across the company and enjoy getting after it outside of work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts in collaboration with various department heads.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support long-range planning, working capital management, capital expenditures, and strategic investments, including M&A.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, identifying key drivers and communicating insights to management.
  • Perform detailed and timely ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and special projects.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Analyze trends in key business metrics and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Automate and improve existing reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of financial data.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to business units, providing financial support and guidance on operational decisions.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, operations, and sales to support the monthly S&OP process.
  • Support the company’s capital allocation process by analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for the Board of Directors and executive team meetings.
  • Support finance team AI implementation strategy.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in FP&A at a high-growth company, investment banking or consulting.
  • Excellent financial modeling skills and data interpretation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfort working with numbers, data, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google, NetSuite).
  • Proactive, organized, and eager to learn; not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • Clear communicator who enjoys working cross-functionally.
  • Forward-looking, problem-solver.
