General Laborer (Nights) - Street Sweeping

About the position

SCA is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete work in oncoming traffic with protection by TMA vehicles.
• Drive a pickup truck and physically pick up debris including litter, furniture, tires, etc.
• Clean various highway locations in and surrounding metroplex assigned daily.
• Make numerous stops and exit truck to remove debris/trash from highway shoulders.
• Wear proper and required PPE.
• Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted and maintain quality of work.
• Report any equipment failures, near misses or accidents to Lead or Supervisor within 15 Minutes.
• Perform labor duties as required by team lead/Supervisor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Good Driving Record.
• Ability to pass employment and random drug test.
• Ability to follow directions, work a GPS and tablet, and adjust to the work environment.
• Proper work attire (pants, shirt with short sleeve at a minimum), above the ankle work boots, and required PPE.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience closely related to the field of work.
• Requires work performed in outdoor environments/Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions.
• Exposure to noise, vibrations, jarring, fumes grease oil & chemicals.
• Active, physical work involving occasionally lifting (50+ lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching.
• Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close & distant vision.
• Regular use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
• Regular use of eyes, shoulders & neck to monitor vehicle mirrors.
