Reporting to the GridBeats Cybersecurity NPI Product Manager, the Cybersecurity Product Owner (PO) is a team player. He/she is a member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. The PO has a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team and ensuring stories meet the user's needs and comply with the Definition of Done. This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with Product Management, Customers, Business Owners, and other stakeholders.

  • Preparation and Participation in PI Planning as a member of the extended Product Management team.
  • Involved in program backlog refinement and prep for Program Increment (PI) planning.
  • Updates the team backlog and contributes to the program vision, Roadmap, and content presentations.
  • Involved with story definition, providing clarifications necessary for story estimates and sequencing.
  • Maintaining the team backlog with input from System Architect/Engineering and other stakeholders.
  • Reviews and reprioritizes the backlog as part of the prep work for Iteration Planning.
  • Communicates story detail and priorities during the iteration planning event.
  • Collaborates with the team to detail stories with acceptance criteria and examples in the form of acceptance tests.
  • Works with the team to agree on accepted story completion and validates that the story meets acceptance criteria.
  • Understands the scope of upcoming enabler work and collaborates with System and Solution Architects/Engineering.
  • Participates in team demo and retrospective.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology or Engineering.
  • 8+ years' experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within software development.
  • Strong understanding of OT environments (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLCs) and cybersecurity challenges unique to industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443).
  • Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong collaboration, leadership and influencing skills to drive transformation.
  • Experience with Git and SCM branching strategies.
  • Experience with Change management and culture change.
  • Experience with understanding of virtualization technologies & strategies and licensing business models.
  • Product management certifications (e.g., CSPO, PSPO) are a plus.
