About the position

The Guest Service Representative at Graduate Minneapolis is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality and service to guests. This role involves greeting guests, managing check-ins, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The representative will also handle guest requests, resolve complaints, and participate in upselling programs, all while maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests as they arrive, focusing on personal recognition in a warm and authentic manner
• Reviews arrival list daily and assists in preparing, assembling and delivering welcome amenities
• Escorts VIPs to room and checks them in prior to arrival
• Answers the telephone within three rings and responds to questions or transfers calls as needed
• Responsible for issued bank and counts bank at beginning and end of shift
• Ensures that all cash drops are done in accordance with proper cash handling procedures and reports all cash over/shorts to management
• Maintains front desk area to be clean and organized
• Assists with lobby activation as needed
• Utilizes proper procedures when handling guest PPI data
• Understands key points to communicate for a Graduate Arrival experience
• Follows through and feels ownership of guest requests
• Resolves guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner
• Actively participates in Front Desk upsell program
• Retrieves necessary identification documents and form of payment upon guest arrival
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior Customer Service Experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills
