The position involves loading bulk and finished products into trucks and rail cars to meet shipping schedules and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Load rail cars and trucks with bulk finished product by operating scale room loading system
- Operate computerized shipping dispatch program to collect shipping data for accounts, billing and inventory reports
- Operate trackmobile to move rail cars into loading position
- Inspect and close rail cars to ensure the equipment is in proper working order
- Take silo measurements and samples
- Clean equipment and work area according to department housekeeping standards
- Conduct inventory of rail cars
- Conduct preventative maintenance on load‐out equipment according to department procedures
- Communicate with customers, company distribution office, common carriers, and railroad personnel to confirm shipping schedules and miscellaneous shipping
- Perform any other duties as assigned by a supervisor
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D required
- Must possess a current and valid drivers license
- Must be bondable
- Must successfully meet and maintain background requirements to comply with US Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearm and Explosives licensing requirements
