About the position

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and experience in restaurant management. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and innovative dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and culinary expertise to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Manage kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Assist with banquet preparations and catering events as required.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and communication.
• Help with bartending duties during events or peak service times as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
• Experience in shift management to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Creativity in menu planning and presentation with an eye for detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• A degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred but not mandatory.
