About the position

The Hospice Executive Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hospice operations, including business and clinical operations, business development, financial control, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership and management skills to ensure the effective delivery of hospice services and to drive census growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee entire hospice operations including business and clinical operations.
• Manage business development and census growth initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and state and federal regulations.
• Control financial aspects including budget development and monitoring.
• Lead and manage the hospice team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of hospice program leadership experience.
• Experience as an Executive Director, Administrator, or Director of Clinical Operations.
• Strong background in operations management and growth strategy.
• Experience with budgetary responsibilities and financial monitoring.
• Broad knowledge of federal and state regulations related to hospice care.
• Outstanding leadership and managerial skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare management outside of hospice care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
