About the position

The Housekeeping Aide plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents in a retirement community. This position involves performing daily housekeeping and laundry tasks, ensuring that both public and residential areas are well-kept. The Aide will engage with seniors and contribute to their quality of life through their service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize, clean, vacuum and maintain all public and residential living areas.
• Make beds, empty waste baskets, and dust.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold and deliver laundry.
• Inventory and maintain supplies, storage area, and equipment in a secure, safe, and organized manner.
• Assist in preparing residential units for new occupants.

Requirements

• A service-oriented approach to work.

• Ability to understand and communicate in the English language.
• Willingness to perform work that can be physically demanding.
