About the position

The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide position at Autumn Care of Portsmouth is a part-time role focused on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in resident rooms and community areas. The aide will also provide laundry services and contribute to a positive living environment for residents, following health and safety protocols under the supervision of community representatives.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms and other interior/exterior community areas.
• Provide efficient laundry delivery services.
• Assist in maintaining a positive physical environment for residents.
• Follow health, sanitary, and infection control policies.
• Maintain established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Housekeeping Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by representatives of the community.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or be currently enrolled in a high school program.
• Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff.
• Ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in long-term care preferred, but not required.
