About the position

The Laundry Operator position at Luling Care Center involves the complete laundering of residents' personal items and facility linens, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and care under the direction of the Housekeeping Director. The role emphasizes the importance of maintaining sanitary conditions and compliance with health standards while fostering a caring environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled laundry from residents.
• Sort laundry and tag appropriately.
• Launder all items appropriately, including sending dry-clean items to the dry-cleaners.
• Launder facility linens, dietary aprons, towels, etc.
• Dry laundry appropriately.
• Steam press items as needed.
• Return clean laundry to residents.

Requirements

• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Full working knowledge of laundry equipment and laundering methods.
