About the position

Gosincro, Inc. seeks a skilled HR Generalist in Illinois to manage a range of HR functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws, including I-9 and various leave regulations. This role demands a proactive individual with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities, as well as a solid understanding of HR best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations, offering guidance on HR policies and resolving issues.
  • Act as a point of contact for supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, employee relations matters, and interpretation of employment laws.
  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Administer employee benefits programs. Assist employees with enrollment, changes, and claims. Provide support during open enrollment periods.
  • Ensure HR compliance with federal, Illinois, and local laws, including thorough management of Form I-9 and leave requirements.
  • Accurately complete and maintain Form I-9 documentation, staying updated on regulations.
  • Administer various employee leaves, including FMLA, PPLA, sick leave, vacation, and other federal and state-mandated leaves, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Proven experience administering workers' compensation programs, including claims management and return-to-work initiatives, is essential.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files, ensuring all documentation is organized and compliant.
  • Process payroll-related updates, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, deductions, and leave information, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the payroll department.
  • Participate in various HR projects as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years HR Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, Illinois, and local employment laws.
  • Experience working with Paylocity HRIS is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
