Inbound Drayage Mgmt. Coordinator

About the position

The Inbound Drayage Management Coordinator at Woongjin, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the drayage process of shipment movements, ensuring efficient communication with drayage carriers, and driving improvements in customer service goals. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to analyze and optimize transportation plans while maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the drayage process of shipment movement including receiving Arrival Notices and ISF information before the port arrival of vessels.
• Manage relationships with selected drayage carriers and communicate urgently in case of emergencies.
• Search for alternative drayage carriers in case of capacity shortages.
• Share daily container delivery schedules with drayage carriers.
• Analyze, create, edit, track, and trace select logistics service providers (LSPs) such as drayage carriers and rail companies.
• Monitor and drive improvements to customer service goals including on-time delivery and responsiveness to requests for quotes.
• Find optimal solutions for pre-pull yard usage in a timely manner.
• Report monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for drayage deliveries.
• Check delivery status and communicate updates to customers.
• Document corrective actions and improvement plans, verifying their effectiveness.
• Perform ad-hoc reporting as required and other job-related duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred or GED.
• Strong understanding of international transportation, especially ocean shipping and freight forwarding.
• Excellent project and people management skills.
• Experience in establishing transport plans that optimize loading rates, transport times, and logistics costs.
• Ability to manage within goals considering time, budget, and business objectives.
• Analytical, focused, and data-driven with creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong cross-functional teamwork and collaboration skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and other applications.
• Prioritization skills to manage urgent issues while maintaining other duties.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
