About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician at Cencora is responsible for ensuring the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center. This role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and managing the inventory of spare parts. The technician will work under the supervision of the Systems Manager and is expected to maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements while contributing to the overall productivity of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in automated equipment.
• Test, replace, or repair electrical systems including single phase or three phase systems up to 600 volts.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder logic.
• Load programs or configure PLCs, HMIs, and scanners.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on facility equipment and systems.
• Maintain the CMMS/EAM system for repairs on equipment in the Distribution Center.
• Manage the inventory of spare parts and ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
• Complete installation and setup of computer hardware and software as needed.
• Assess the efficiency of materials handling equipment and define necessary modifications.

Requirements

• Technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 1-2 years of related experience, preferably with a strong electrical background.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts and electrical circuitry diagrams.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related software.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration systems, and water treatment chemicals.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
