About the position

The University of Hawai?i at Manoa is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Instructor (I2) in Marketing for the Shidler College of Business - Marketing Department. The position is anticipated to begin in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026, subject to position clearance and availability of funds. The instructor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate level courses in marketing and other areas as needed, including those delivered through distance education. The role also involves working with students in field-based settings and/or case competitions, participating in accreditation and program assessment activities, and maintaining collaborative relationships with partnership schools.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution, with an emphasis on marketing or a related field as evidenced by transcripts.
  • Evidence of University-level teaching ability as indicated by student evaluations for University-level courses taught within the last five years.

Nice-to-haves

  • Doctorate degree from an accredited institution, with an emphasis in marketing or a related field as evidenced by transcripts.
  • Experience and expertise in teaching marketing courses at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels.
  • Experience in teaching through distance learning/online courses.
  • Evidence of past and current research activities that provide insights and applications that enhance student learning in a classroom setting.
