About the position

The Education Intern at USA Baseball will work under the Director of Education to enhance the organization's governance and support within amateur baseball. The role focuses on creating and managing educational content, supporting health and youth initiatives, and developing resources that align with USA Baseball's strategic goals. The intern will also contribute to research, program development, and the improvement of educational tools and resources.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage content for educational initiatives, including blog posts and online resources.
• Support MLB-led youth and health-related initiatives, such as Pitch Smart.
• Research and analyze trends within baseball and other sports to inform program development.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of programs, certifications, and courses from concept through launch.
• Assist in managing and improving the USA Baseball App.
• Explore new ways to engage USA Baseball alumni through educational initiatives.
• Assist with operational duties related to new programs and events developed by the department.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing organizational needs.
• Passion for growing the game of baseball.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check prior to employment.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous program research and event management experience.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the game of baseball.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
