We are seeking an Intern to support the Help Desk team in our corporate office in Sioux Falls, SD. In this role you will gain hands-on IT experience in a supportive team environment. You will assist our IT team in providing technical support and troubleshooting to users who encounter problems with their hardware, software, or network devices. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and grow your knowledge in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Help Desk team in responding to employee requests for basic IT support via phone, email, or ticketing system
  • Help troubleshoot common computer, printer, and software issues
  • Support users by providing simple instructions on how to use company systems and software
  • Learn to escalate more complex problems to experienced technicians
  • Help with setup, installation, or updates of computers and software under supervision
  • Assist in keeping IT equipment and inventory organized and documented
  • Learn and follow IT policies, security practices, and procedures
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and small projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Interest in IT, computer systems, or a related field (enrollment in a degree program is a plus)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and basic computer applications like Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn troubleshooting techniques and ask questions
  • Good communication skills and a helpful, customer-focused attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
  • Dependable and eager to grow in a team environment
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
