About the position

The Shift Lead is responsible for executing restaurant operations alongside the Restaurant Manager, focusing on maintaining brand values and ensuring excellent guest service and food quality. This role involves training and leading team members, fostering a guest-centric culture, and ensuring compliance with operational standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute restaurant operations in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager.
  • Maintain the restaurant's brand image through cleanliness and excellent service.
  • Treat all team members with respect and dignity.
  • Follow company guidelines and execute daily activities to achieve operational excellence.
  • Encourage teams to deliver outstanding guest service and food quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement sales growth initiatives.
  • Review and modify operations to improve guest experience.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in training internal candidates for Shift Lead positions.
  • Assist in training employees to meet company standards.
  • Interact with guests and the community, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Escalate concerns to the Restaurant Manager as necessary.
  • Analyze restaurant operational and financial performance using management tools.
  • Monitor costs and ensure adherence to budget and goals.
  • Comply with state and federal labor laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; must be at least 18 years old.
  • 6 months of restaurant operations experience required.
  • Must complete Shift Lead training classes and may need ServSafe certification.
  • Ability to communicate in English is required; Spanish comprehension is helpful.
  • Fundamental reading, writing, math, and computer/POS skills are required.
  • Access to adequate transportation and completion of administrative driving requirement.
