Java Integration Lead

About the position

The Java Integration Lead will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation initiatives at StarTekk by leveraging their extensive experience in Java/J2EE technologies. This position involves leading investigations into new software and frameworks, collaborating with Agile teams, and ensuring that feature requests are effectively translated into actionable technical stories. The role requires a strong understanding of microservices architecture and the ability to communicate effectively with various teams to meet business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of new software, frameworks, or tools and conduct POCs.
• Work closely with Agile teams to implement solutions.
• Interact with Product Management, UX/CX teams, and Engineering to convert feature requests into technical stories.
• Develop applications using Java/J2EE/Spring Boot on Microservices Architecture.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and distributed systems using microservices architecture.
• Utilize containerization and cloud platforms for application deployment.
• Manage backend databases, specifically Oracle.
• Apply Agile methodology in project execution.
• Use version control tools, preferably GIT, for code management.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in JAVA/J2EE technology.
• Proficiency in application development using Java/J2EE/Spring Boot on Microservices Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices and RESTful API design and development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, and Spring Integration.
• Experience developing distributed systems using event-based microservices architecture.
• Extensive working knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Good hands-on experience with GIT as a version control tool.
• Exceptional ability to quickly master new concepts and work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Knowledge of the retail domain.
