Lead Product Surface Prep

About the position

The Lead Product Surface Prep (Blaster) position at Trinity involves preparing product surfaces for coating operations by operating various tools and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that the surfaces are free from contaminants and ready for the application of coatings.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools or equipment to prepare interior and exterior product surfaces for coating operations.
• Operate automated blast systems and hand-held grit ball blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt.
• Purge surfaces of all chemicals and contaminants through simple processes.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• May be involved in committees or initiatives.
• Proficient at automated blast system.
• Extensive experience with hand-held grit blast equipment.
• Makes repairs to blast equipment.
• Trains lower levels.
• Inspect final work and alter or repair materials as necessary.
• Leads team by assigning tasks.
• Assists in completion of all tasks to meet deadlines.
• Maintains and improves quality.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 to 6 plus year of experience (preferred).
• Must be able to work day or night shift.
