About the position

View Point Health is a community behavioral health center utilizing a team of psychiatrists, nurses, licensed counselors and social workers, and other professionals to provide services to individuals who need treatment and support to cope with mental illness, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. View Point Health serves uninsured, underinsured, low-income Medicaid, Medicare, war veterans and some private insurance across multiple locations with a full continuum of behavioral health services and support. The services provided by View Point Health contribute to the reduction in homelessness, reduction in crime and subsequent incarcerations, higher graduation rates, lower dropout rates, decreased ER visits and decreased inpatient admissions. As a school-based therapist, you will provide services by receiving referrals from school counselors and social workers for the most-in-needs students, when their needs exceed what the school can offer. Therapists are assigned to 1-2 schools and work as a part of the school team to provide therapy at school.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy services to students referred by school counselors and social workers.
  • Work collaboratively with school teams to address the needs of students.
  • Support students coping with mental illness, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university.
  • Eligibility to be licensed as a behavioral health clinician.
