About the position

The Life Enrichment Assistant (LEA) plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in a senior living community. This position supports the Life Enrichment Director and Community Relations Director by assisting in the preparation and execution of resident activities, ensuring a welcoming environment for new residents, and maintaining a vibrant community atmosphere. The LEA is expected to embody the values of compassion, kindness, and teamwork while engaging with residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Life Enrichment Director in setting up and preparing for upcoming activities.
  • Take attendance of residents attending an activity.
  • Keep a log for each individual resident with a record of activities attended.
  • Distribute a weekly bulletin prepared by the Life Enrichment Director.
  • Distribute monthly activity schedules prepared by the Life Enrichment Director.
  • Ensure activity areas are well maintained after every activity and before the end of each shift.
  • Assist the Life Enrichment Director with other duties as requested.
  • Maintain a current driver's license to serve as an alternate transportation driver when needed.
  • Assist Marketing in preparing for Lead Generating events.
  • Assist in selecting personalized welcome home gifts for new residents.
