About the position

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will play a crucial role in administering medications, supporting wellness initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position involves communication with healthcare practitioners, family members, and staff to facilitate timely clinical interventions and follow-ups. You will also oversee Medication Technicians and Caregivers, providing direction on daily shift assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to residents according to physicians' orders and document any adverse reactions or clinical observations.
  • Follow up on physicians' orders and coordinate services with ancillary providers, reporting any changes in residents' conditions to physicians and families.
  • Ensure that resident care and service plans are adhered to by overseeing the tasks of Medication Technicians and Caregivers.
  • Make situational decisions and manage conflicts positively and constructively.
  • Update and review resident medical records, clinical documentation, and incident reports.

Requirements

  • Active LVN or LPN license in the State of Texas.
  • CPR Certified or ability and willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work the defined schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Intermediate computer and mobile device skills.
