The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical problems. You'll apply electrical theory to build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, and machines. Your safety and that of others is a top priority. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining all the manufacturing equipment within the production areas. This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems and to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.

  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental practices and policies
  • Perform routine scheduled and unscheduled electrical troubleshooting, repair, and calibrations
  • Work on circuits, motor control systems, and switch gears
  • Read electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot power distribution and power transformers
  • Participate in site-wide process safety and risk reduction activities as requested
  • Maintain prints and files in proper place
  • Document work and update procedures, drawings, specs, and files
  • Routine maintenance
  • Locating and correcting power failures and short circuits
  • Performing mechanical repairs as needed
  • Installs aligns and adjust mechanical power transmission components (Gearboxes/Bearings/Chains/Shafts/Gears)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair power transmission, alignment of gears, and properly perform preventative maintenance to extend machine life and prevent unplanned downtimes
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and install properly electronic and process control systems, including ability to understand electrical diagrams and schematics to aid in troubleshooting and repairs
  • Must be able to utilize Multi meter to measure voltage, current, continuity, amperage, resistance for incoming and entire circuit
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with diploma from accredited Technical School, military electrical/electronic training or a minimum ten years field experience in industrial environment, without a degree; or any combination of experience and training that would provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities
  • Have general knowledge of plant safety rules
  • Must be able to read and interpret an MSDS, also know the location of the MSDS book
  • Knowledge of our quality policy and objectives
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication
  • Must have the ability to interpret schematic drawings (to component level) of pneumatic loops, hardware relay logic diagrams, PLC control programs, motor control circuit diagrams, etc.
  • Must have good mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations as applicable in water/wastewater treatment and basic trigonometry for calculation of vectors as in VFD systems
