As a Maintenance Technician at Pratt Industries – Tulsa, OK you will be a crucial part of our day to day. Responsibilities

  • Exercise safe work habits and maintain a clean and safe working area, follow all company safety policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with operational guidelines and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain company standards for quality, and perform inspections and ensure all parts and assemblies meet production specifications.
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in plants and related facilities, perform preventative maintenance on motors, die cutters, hydraulic systems, conveyors, steam systems, and other related plant equipment.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and drawings, mount electrical components such as drives, servos, PLCs, circuit breakers, transformers, and relays.
  • Perform wiring, labeling, and testing of electrical components. Cut, strip, bend, and form wire cable and conduit used to connect circuits and sub-assemblies.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, and securing of electrical components. Conduct functional and continuity tests using an ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments.
  • Cross-train in multiple technical areas to enhance skills, and participate in continued education and training opportunities.
  • Accurately complete work orders and maintenance reports, and identify potential equipment failures and proactively recommend repairs.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed, assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and support plant inspections and operational adjustments as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience within a manufacturing or maintenance environment, and preferred experience in the manufacturing industry (e.g., corrugated industry).
  • Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and equipment. Experience in handling electrical and mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with inspecting production processes and ensuring equipment reliability. Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Proficiency in problem-solving and identifying system improvements.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance principles and skilled trades applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and operational procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for tracking maintenance records and reports.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a history of good work performance and attendance.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and work in physically demanding conditions, frequent use of hands for handling, reaching, and operating tools/machinery.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
  • Frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
  • Preferred apprenticeship or associate degree in a relevant field. May be required to maintain a Lift Truck Operator License.
