About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Bonne Terre Village Apartments is responsible for ensuring the general condition of the property through various maintenance tasks including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting. This role involves completing maintenance requests promptly, participating in preventive maintenance programs, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building
• Complete work orders promptly, including on-call requests
• Demonstrate the ability to resolve maintenance issues to prevent a recurrence
• Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on-site
• Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and recommend corrective action
• Partner with external vendors, contractors, and other maintenance team members on special projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification
• HVAC certification, preferred
• Residential/apartment maintenance experience
• General residential maintenance skills required: A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, electronics, drywall installation, and finishing
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds at variable distances often
