About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on various systems including air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and other related equipment within the Suncoast Hotel & Casino. This role involves responding to emergency situations, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring the functionality of essential systems to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance to air conditioning, furnace, plumbing, electrical, and other related systems.
• Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leak.
• Physically respond to emergency situations and repairs.
• Install electrical conduit and wiring throughout the complex.
• Service and repair air handler units.
• Install and repair plumbing systems.
• Repair or install parking lot lighting ballasts.
• Weld metal fabrication and install materials as needed.
• Replace and install high voltage shunt and motor control gear.
• Service and repair cooling towers.
• Clear drains using electric rotary action snake or other appropriate methods.
• Repair and install new or damaged equipment, including televisions and kitchen equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of air conditioners.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior related experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas.
• Ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools.
• Ability to carry and communicate via two-way radio.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
