About the position

The Manager of Crowell+ Digital Marketing Group provides visionary, strategic, and operational leadership to a student-run digital marketing agency housed within Biola University's Crowell School of Business. This position exists to cultivate hands-on learning, equip students with industry-relevant digital skills, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and expand Biola’s brand impact through high-quality digital campaigns executed for the Biola community and real-world clients. The Manager oversees organizational structure, supervises student leaders, ensures excellence in strategy and execution, and serves as the primary liaison with faculty, clients, and university administration.

Responsibilities

  • Co-develop the overall vision, growth, and direction of Crowell+ DMG (Year 1)
  • Manage Crowell+ DMG operations and student teams (Year 2+)
  • Onboard clients and oversee consulting engagements
  • Oversee the Crowell+ email account ([email protected])
  • Manage and maintain Crowell+'s social media presence on LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Lead the Crowell+ student team in supporting ongoing digital marketing efforts for the Adaptive MBA program; serve as liaison between Crowell, University Marketing, and Admissions
  • Lead the Crowell+ student team in delivering work for external clients, such as Biola’s partnership with the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI)
  • Supervise and mentor student managers across teams: Account Management, Design, Content Production, Digital Strategy, Finance, and Marketing Analytics
  • Develop and maintain an advisory sounding board of alumni, panels, and business leaders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Strategic planning and digital marketing execution
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Google Ads, SEO tools, analytics platforms (GA4), and Canva
  • Experience applying organic, paid, and earned media strategies across the marketing funnel
  • Budgeting and campaign performance optimization
  • Analytics reporting and data interpretation
  • Project management and workflow coordination using tools such as Asana or similar
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and cultivate a growth-oriented culture
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication across teams and with clients
  • Organization: Ability to coordinate timelines, track deliverables, and run meetings effectively
  • Adaptability: Agile in dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving team environments
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism: Demonstrates discretion, maturity, and alignment with Biola’s mission and values

Nice-to-haves

  • Developing an AMA (American Marketing Association) student chapter
  • Assisting in planning short-term business study tours for the Crowell School of Business
