About the position

The Manager at DBG Hospitality is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the beer garden operation, ensuring a high level of guest experience. This role involves leadership, strategic planning, and direct interaction with guests and staff to maintain service standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that every guest receives the Dacha Experience, prioritizing their Gemütlichkeit.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan and vision for the department.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the development, execution, and measurement of guest service standards.
  • Assist owners with the sale, organization, and execution of private events.
  • Hire, train, develop, and discipline hourly front of the house staff according to company guidelines.
  • Direct the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes.
  • Establish positive guest relations with all patrons of the restaurant.
  • Maintain rapport with guests, complying with requests and meeting expectations to build a positive reputation.
  • Lead the hourly team to ensure a positive and happy environment while ensuring top performance.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or ten years of equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Superb effective business writing skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and sense of decorum.

Nice-to-haves

  • Four years or more of progressive restaurant management experience is desired but not required.
  • Beer, spirits, and wine certification(s).
