About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative marketing professional to fill the role of Marketing Communications Specialist. This position will focus on creating and executing a digital content strategy across digital mediums (email, socials, website, etc.) to increase brand visibility and support awareness and lead generation efforts. The person in this position is specifically charged with managing segmented email marketing audiences and communicating the appropriate messages to the right audience in a timely manner. In addition, this role owns the continued growth of Somfy's multi-brand organic social media presence in North America.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various internal teams to develop and implement a content and email marketing strategy that aligns with broader company objectives
  • Own social media, email, video, and web content creation for B2B and B2C audiences
  • Conduct tests to optimize subject lines, body text, design, calls to action, etc. in order to improve open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement
  • Create and manage segmented email lists to deliver targeted messages to specific B2B and B2C customer audiences, ensuring relevant, personalized, and timely content
  • Develop, maintain, and improve automated email workflows, drip campaigns, and trigger-based emails to engage customers throughout their journey
  • Monitor email and social media performance, analyze metrics, and provide actionable insights to optimize for better results
  • Curate a shareable content calendar for your emails, social posts, blog posts, press releases, and PR articles
  • Curate social media content for B2B and B2C audiences, enhance engagement across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and YouTube, and monitor brand sentiment
  • Write and/or edit webpage and blog content for B2C and B2B sites
  • Ensure cohesive messaging and consistent brand voice across all channels
  • Manage and work with external digital marketing and/or PR agencies as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in digital marketing with a strong emphasis on content creation
  • Proven experience crafting both long- and short-form content for diverse platforms, including email, social media, websites, and blogs, catering to B2C and B2B audiences
  • Skilled in writing and reviewing content with a keen eye for consistency with company strategy, brand voice, and tone
  • Experience crafting and adapting content for various audiences across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Capable of developing and executing email and social media content strategies that align with company objectives, team goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Experience developing and executing email marketing automation strategies to nurture leads, engage audiences, and drive conversions
  • Proficiency in setting up automated email workflows, drip campaigns, and trigger-based messaging using tools like MailChimp, Marketo, or Marketing Cloud
  • Proficient in organic media best practices with a foundational understanding of paid media
  • Experience creating, managing, and maintaining a comprehensive content calendar for social media, email campaigns, and ongoing marketing initiatives
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Skilled in planning and executing campaigns focused on brand awareness, demand generation, and customer nurturing
  • Proficient in using social media management and analytics tools such as HootSuite, Sprout Social, or FaceLift for scheduling, performance tracking, and content optimization
  • Experienced in conducting A/B testing, analyzing results, and providing data-driven recommendations
  • Knowledgeable in e-reputation management, community engagement, and social listening tools like Meltwater or TalkWalker
  • Comfortable responding to social media interactions and escalating issues when necessary
  • Adept at using data insights to shape content strategies, analyze website traffic and user behavior, and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Strategic thinker who asks the right questions, drives initiatives forward, and problem-solves effectively
  • Proactive, solution-driven, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively across teams
  • Skilled in managing relationships with external vendors and agencies, including PR firms and consultants
  • SEO knowledge and expertise are a plus
  • Basic graphic design skills or a strong design sensibility; experience with Canva is a plus
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive and forward-thinking attitude with growth mindset and desire to learn
  • Ability to multitask and organize/execute multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
