We're seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team and help us tell the story of our incredible destination. As a multi-tasker and team player, you'll play a vital role in driving integrated marketing initiatives that promote Monterey County as a premier destination. This position supports the Marketing Communications team with project management and administrative coordination as well as liaising with the Business Development teams to support group marketing initiatives.

  • Implements and supports brand strategy across leisure, group and luxury marketing initiatives
  • Supports business development sponsorships, events and programs with marketing content
  • Supports content production projects for leisure, luxury and group campaigns
  • Maintains digital asset library
  • Administers the Marketing Communications project management system and maintains project tracking
  • Leads report creation and timelines for the Marketing Communications team
  • Supports content creation and updates across digital platforms as needed
  • Processes invoices and expense tracking
  • Oversees promotional item inventory and ordering
  • Provides administrative support for the marketing communications team
  • Coordinates shipping and general office support for the marketing communications team
  • Contributes to our safe, healthy, positive, and harmonious work culture and environment
  • Ensures punctuality and adherence to all organizational policies and procedures
  • Ensures adherence to organizational policies, deadlines, and quality standards
  • College degree in marketing, business, or related field and/or minimum one-year relevant experience
  • Marketing communications experience
  • Knowledge of Monterey County
  • Digital marketing tools proficiency
  • Travel/tourism industry experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel and familiar with cloud computing environments
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to accuracy and quality in deliverables
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently
  • Understanding of marketing principles and best practices
  • Project coordination experience
  • Analytical and solution-focused approach
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptability to changing priorities
  • Commitment to building positive working relationships
  • Travel/tourism industry experience preferred
  • Competitive pay range of $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience
