About the position

Asheville Yoga Center is a nationally recognized yoga studio and teacher training school dedicated to fostering healing, transformation, and community through the ancient practice of yoga. We offer a wide range of studio classes, workshops, and teacher training programs in an inclusive, heart-centered environment. In this role, you’ll not only support Asheville Yoga Center’s marketing initiatives—you’ll also collaborate with our broader team to create content for The Ayurvedic Institute, contributing to our shared mission of healing, education, and heart-led service. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our team and help grow awareness of our studio classes, workshops, and yoga teacher training programs and to create engaging content for The Ayurvedic Institute school founded by Dr. Vasant Lad. This role is ideal for a passionate marketer who is experienced in content creation, social media, video editing, and email marketing—and who has an authentic interest in yoga, ayurveda and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) for both Asheville Yoga Center and The Ayurvedic Institute
  • Film and edit short-form videos for Reels and social media ads
  • Design graphics for digital and print using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Write clear, compelling copy for social media, blog posts, landing pages, and more
  • Plan and manage campaigns for monthly webinars hosted by our teacher training staff
  • Assist in planning and executing email marketing campaigns via HubSpot or similar platforms
  • Monitor email performance and suggest optimizations
  • Support cross-channel promotional campaigns for events, trainings, and promotions
  • Maintain and update website content using WordPress
  • Track analytics and performance data across social and email using HubSpot
  • Coordinate print collateral (flyers, posters) and help distribute locally
  • Assist with photo/video shoots, content calendars, and special projects
  • Manage paid media campaigns through META, Google, Youtube, etc.
  • Plan, organize, and manage Asheville Yoga Center’s presence at key community events such as Love Shine Play Yoga Festival and LEAF Festival
  • Coordinate event logistics, including booth setup, signage, and marketing materials
  • Work with volunteers and staff to ensure smooth operations during events
  • Support lead capture, community engagement, and follow-up efforts after each event
  • Manage community partnerships and relationships through charity event organization

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, graphic design, and/or social media
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience with WordPress, SEO, Google Analytics, and paid advertising
  • Prior experience planning or managing events or festivals
  • Portfolio link showcasing relevant design, video, or event marketing work
  • Strong graphic design skills using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience with video editing (Premiere Pro, CapCut Pro, or similar)
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, HubSpot)
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Passion for yoga, wellness, or a related industry
