About the position

The Marketing Director will develop and manage marketing strategies and programs for Rockefeller Center attractions and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and lead generation for our Rock Center Campus. This role reports into the Senior Director, Marketing and plays a key role ensuring high quality and effective work along the brand development, integrated marketing campaign creation and deployment process, focused on our collective efforts to build awareness and consideration for the TS brand and specific property brands, ultimately driving lead generation and sales. This person is a key partner to our Rock Center Destination Sale teams, bringing a clear strategic and creative perspective to the conversation around marketing investments and creative choices. Our marketing team works in close partnership with external creative agencies, CGI firms and media firms to target a range of key audiences such as NY locals and both international and domestic tourists.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize annual marketing plans and related budgets, for Rock Center's ecosystem tying goals and KPIs back to business priorities
  • Oversee & guide overall comms strategy for the Rock Center ecosystem, both owned and paid
  • Main point of contact for all partners, agencies & vendors to ensure marketing goals are executed strategically & seamlessly
  • Create and drive adoption of best-in-class playbooks and templates to enforce consistency and effectiveness across the RC teams
  • Ensure constant clarity on the status of the business, upcoming priorities and competitive landscape to inform thoughtful, strategic marketing plans
  • Build external industry relationships to stay on top of trends and identify opportunities
  • Ensure strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Rock Center campus to drive business decisions and alignment
  • Enable and implement process and consistency among direct reports across project executions
  • Negotiate contracts with vendor partners, contractors, agencies, media partners, etc., ensuring that strong foundational relationships with Legal and Compliance lead to the best contractual outcomes for Tishman Speyer
  • Key POC with external partners, ensuring that the output of partner agencies, contractors and vendors meet brand and business standards
  • Stay up to date on the latest marketing technologies and tools, recommending and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Approach strategy from a data-driven mindset and partner closely with Marketing IT to ensure results are tracked, reported properly and that future campaigns are optimized accordingly
  • Contribute to departmental reports, allowing for comprehensive, global representation in both planning and results reporting
  • Analyze marketing data and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Oversee maintenance of assigned budget and billing, leading alignment calls with Asset Management to actualize and optimize spend monthly, reforecast quarterly, and accrue annually
  • Contribute to Marketing budget planning in partnership with all other regional leaders including Studio and ZO to maximize shared resources, strategize with a global perspective, and drive consistency
  • Lead the development and training of assigned direct reports to foster growth and expertise
  • Manage and oversee the performance and growth of direct reports, ensuring quarterly feedback sessions are kept and annual performance reviews maintained

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience in marketing either at a marketing & advertising agency or within a company
  • ~10+ years of Brand Management and Marketing experience, leading full lifecycle campaign briefing, creation and execution across paid, earned & owned channels
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, foster high-impact collaboration and influence all levels of the brand
  • Expertise across all marketing channels - ATL, Digital, Social, PR, Influencers, Retail and Wholesale
  • Experience translating brand concepts into marketing campaigns, activations and experiences that drive relevancy and resonance with consumers, media and the industry
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational and project management experience and ability to manage up and out
  • Comfortable interacting with senior level management
  • Prior experience managing partners and agencies to execute marketing vision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Based out of NYC HQ
  • Onsite presence is required for this position
